Technical information about this website’s accessibility
The Storr is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
● Keyboard Traps & Visibility: Some content is hidden from assistive technology and keyboard users due to entrance animation settings. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.3.2 (Meaningful Sequence) and 2.1.1 (Keyboard). We plan to resolve this by disabling entrance animations on interactive elements by May 2026.
● Semantic Structure: The website currently lacks some HTML5 landmarks (header, main, footer), which aids navigation for screen reader users. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships). We are currently implementing ARIA roles to correct this structure.
● Colour Contrast: Some text elements do not meet the minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast Minimum). We are currently updating our stylesheet to darker text colours.
● Form Labels: The contact form currently relies on placeholders. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 3.3.2 (Labels or Instructions). We are adding persistent labels to all form inputs.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
● Third-Party Booking System: The ticket booking interface is provided by a third-party supplier (Beyonk). We have reported identified accessibility issues to the supplier and requested a roadmap for fixes.
